Dear Friends, If you didn’t go to the poetry reading in recognition of Poetry Month, done by the Salter Hahira Library and run by Janet Register, you missed a good time. Government members, students and teachers, and people from far-off Snake Nation Press came. “The Raven” was given new emphasis, read with great aplomb and without a hitch by Hahira’s City Manager, Jonathan Sumner; and “Manifesto: The Mad Farmer’s Liberation Front” read by Jean Arambula showed that poetry still has the power to move us to tears. “Way to go, Jean!” Morris Smith got some laughs with her “Fishing for Brim in Pergatory.” A lovely reception afterwards allowed all the participants to enjoy Susan Braun’s excellent table. Congratulations, Hahira
